Frankie recently finished working on a project with singer Robin Wiley, and in addition to her performing some of his original songs, he just recorded a new version of the Woody Guthrie song "Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos Canyon)." THE ROBIN WILEY PROJECT.
Recently Frankie and Wiley performed at Hollywood's favorite singer/songwriter showcase venue, the Hotel Cafe, where they were joined by Billy Valentine, the soulful voice behind Boston Legal. They will be performing there again some time in May..
Frankie is interviewed on KCSN 88.5 FM Arts & Roots Radio by DJ Host Larry Wines' show Tide on March 31, 2007, at 8:00 a.m. Audio/Video will be available at a later date, and will be featuring original songs and arrangements of Frankie's recent projects. Look for Frankie at local venues, to be announced.
Frankie is continuing work on his next recording release - listen in -- Sometimes and Here and Now!
In February 2007, the program "We Have a Dream" aired on Channel 5 featuring Frankie's theme music. The show honors the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and this is the third year in a raw the special has been aired. Each year features new, prominent black Americans recalling their experience and the inspiration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
